Testimonials

"I purchased an 81 Kenworth extended hood double bunk from a friend whom also lives in Somerset, PA. his father purchased the truck from a dealer in Ohio, the truck hauled steel its entire life running the Ohio and PA turnpike from East to West.

The truck was still in good shape and pretty much an original when I bought it. Including the KT Cummins engine which was overhauled once. The paint was still decent but I wanted to re-do it and make it show quality.

I started to hear about Jason Keeler and see some of the work he was doing. I got to talk to him a few times and asked him if he would be interested in doing my truck since he loved doing his A-model Kenworths. He said he would and then we got the truck for him.

He thought the truck was in good shape also until he started tearing into it. He found a lot of unseen corrosion after years of running the turnpike its entire life.

He and his father Don who is also a great guy to talk to ended up putting new frame rails under the truck for starters. They reskinned the double bunk with new panels and got the cab and hood ready to paint. They rewired the whole truck, which Jasons rewiring work is amazing.

When he got the truck back together it was amazing from front to back. He has great attention to detail and takes pride in his work. The truck looks better today than the day it would of from new. There is nothing on a truck him and his father cannot do. I hope I can soon take another A model Kenworth to Jason and Don.

Thank you for all your great work."

Over the past several years we have used KCR on multiple projects.

Jason and the KCR crew answered the call on each project and always exceeded the expectations.

We have had the KCR crew tackle projects ranging from a straightforward frame stretch to a much more involved job of adding a “big hole sleeper boot” in a 359 Pete and also installing a KTA with a 6x4 in that came factory with a cat and a 15speed.

We have had KCR build us two complete ground up A models. These trucks both maintain the appearances of meticulously restored W900’s. They were both very custom in very different ways. One build was a 4 axle heavy haul chassis with a custom 100” ATG powered by a Signature 600 Cummins, The other build was a 3 axle chassis with a stock 36” sleeper powered by a fully chromed out 750 KTTA with an HVT installed. Both builds would give any non- working show truck a run for their money at any judged show in the country.

The concept for both builds were definitely a “form follows function” approach with award winning show quality workmanship. That is exactly what we got.

As Jason would say “sure they’re show trucks, they show up to work”

A customer of KCR can expect great communication throughout the build, with itemized billing and photos of the work in progress. Jason always made himself available to me and was always receptive to what was important to me as a customer.

I would encourage a customer who is looking for an attention to detail build with excellent execution to use Keeler Custom Restoration. They are THE  A model KW authority in my book!!!
